Today is Thursday the 31st of July we have had a busy but wonderful week! Gunnar Grace started her first day of 2nd grade on Monday. She was a wee bit nervous but came home with a smile from ear to ear. She absolutely loves her teacher, Ms. Schaper. She has already made the purple list which I am told is very good. This means she gets to eat lunch with her teacher on Friday! She plans to take an extra chocolate to share:). In her prayers this week she has prayed for good grades, and good behavior, so she can make the purple list weekly and have lunch with her teacher often. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that the good attitude continues! Gunnar got out of school early on Wednesday, due to a broken air conditioner. We took advantage of the early dismissal and headed to the pool for some fun. Not a bad week so far if I must say so myself.



Gates had a big week too!! He had a playdate with his soon to be preschool class and got to meet his new teachers--Miss Leann and Miss Susan. He was very, very quiet--not his usual rambunctious self. I think he was a little overwhelmed and a bit confused. He thought we were going to HIS school and didn't understand why we were at the park. His teachers were amazed that he is already potty trained. YEAH MOMMY!! The teachers were extremely nervous as Gates showed his fearlessness by hanging and climbing on everything possible. I assurred them this is normal for him, but it was kinda fun to watch them squirm. I'm so use to it that it doesn't phase me at all anymore. Gates is excited to start school and can't wait to start carrying a backpack like his big sis!
