Gunnar's teacher this year is Mrs. Malone. So far we think she is wonderful:) Gunnar just got her first progress report and WOW what an improvement from last year. Last week the class hosted Mrs. Malones Coffee House. All the parents were invited to come in and listen to the poems that their children had written. They are learning about all different kinds of poetry. So everything doesn't have to rhyme (like I always thought);0) It was so much fun listening to all the kids.. And if you don't know... more people die from the fear of public speaking than those who actaully get up and speak in front of crowds. What great practice for these 3rd graders. I think they should do this more often. Here is a little sample from Gunnars work:
