Wordless Weeks!!

Well I'm back in action and ready to tackle more posts. Sorry for the long delay--all of you who have been asking and reminding me that I'm a little behind:) I've been working more and Gunnar is tracked out so my time is just a little bit limited. I'd much rather spend time with my kiddos making memories than sitting here sharing the ones we've already made. But just know when there is a delay I WILL catch everyone up at some point.

We've had a wonderful week--

Gunnar tracked out last Monday and we've been on the gooooooo! Nothing too exciting or crazy, just beautiful weather and time with friends. We've been to several parks, played with friends, been shopping(getting ready for our trip), had movie nights, game nights, and sleepless nights(OH wait those weren't fun!! Gates was tossing and turning,in our bed of course). We've been playing musical beds a lot lately. Gates will come and get in our bed and either myself or Todd will end up in Gunnars bed or the guest bed or somedays even Gates bed. Anything to get some sleep. Knox snores us out of our room too on those nights that Gunnar is sleeping over at a friends house. I thought that Todd and I were the head of the household? That isn't always the case in the wee hours of the night. Oh well as long as someone is getting sleep I guess that's all that matters.

OK back to the topic--

Gunnar got a back hand spring all by herself last week at gymnastics. YEAH!!! You go girl. We are so proud of her she has been doing awesome... Every week she comes home with something new to show. Tuesday morning while Gates was at school, Gunnar and Todd went to deliver meals on wheels. She was a little nervous at first, but I think in the end she really liked it. She had a few stories to tell. Her favorite little lady told her how Elvis use to make all the women crazy and they would shake their "BOOBIES"!! She is still talking about that lady. She obviously got a kick out of that story. Gunnar LOVES Elvis, if you didn't already know that. She will sit and watch youtube of Elvis for hours--I don't know where that came from..
Anyway, we went to the park on Friday after picking up Dominic from school(Tracy was doing the 60mile avon walk in DC) and then the Walter girls from home--Shayne needed a break. You know he has become Mr. Mom since Tiff has gone back to work. We played at the park for hours -- 4 to be exact. We had a picnic, went exploring, and just had a great day. I must say my kids were very tired that night.
Saturday Todd and Gates spent the day cheering on the Wolfpack and Gunnar and I shopped til we dropped. We also went to see Beverly Hills Chiuaua--what a silly movie. Gunnar loved it and if she gives it a thumbs up then so do I!! Saturday night Devereaux had it's halloween spooktacular. The kids loved the hay ride around the neighborhood. There was pumpkin bowling and potato sack races, a cake walk and carmel apple dippin--yummy! We had a fabulous night. Dinner was a delicious helping of worms and eyeballs--yup you guessed it spaghetti and meatballs(green spaghetti). I wasn't digging the green, but noone else seemed to mind. so I ate it too. We ended the night with glow necklaces and a haunted halloween movie. We didn't stay for the whole movie--Gates was a little creeped out, so we headed home and jumped in the tub. Those dirty feet again, they will get you everytime in my house. When I say dirty I mean DIRTY--faces with carmel from the apples, hands with ough and gough from well just being outside and being kids. We all had a great time and can't wait for Halloween, so we can do it all again......
