As we all know times have changed. No celebration of any such in schools. Well today being Halloween, Gunnar got to dress up like a story book character. She had to write an essay on the main character and rewrite the ending to the story that she chose. She decided to read the "The Wizard of Oz". This is one of her all time favorites. Can't imagine where she gets that from. She did a beautiful job on her essay. And her ending kept Dorothy in OZ with Auntie Em and Uncle Henry coming to live with her there. Oz is such a spectacular place who would ever want to leave?
Being the room mom in her class I couldn't let the day go by without planning a little "activity" (PARTY)!!! We couldn't call it a party,but party we did. We decorated pumpkins (thanks dad for the pipe cleaner suggestion it was adorable)and cookies with frosting and sprinkles, ate lots of goodies and just had a wonderful time enjoying the pre-halloween excitement.
