Wow so hard to believe Christmas has come and gone and now it's back to real life. I can remember being a little kid and it seemed like it took an eternity for Christmas to get here. Now, I swear I just blink my eyes and it's come and gone again. It is kind of disappointing.. All the work and planning that goes into Christmas and it is hardly even noticed a day later. Almost reminds me of planning a wedding. You plan for months and months and for what? The day comes it last a few hours then you're stuck with some loon you said I do to for the rest of your life. I mean that with the utmost respect to my hubby. Speaking of which he was rather high maintenance these last few weeks. Don't know if it's because he had time off and was bored or what, but he drove me more crazy than normal.... Now things are back to normal, well kinda. We are never really normal around here. But I am liking him a little better, not to mention he's been out of the house a little more too! He's back to work and I'm just hanging with the kiddos. Gunnar is tracked out, so she doesn't go back to school until the 28th of January. Don't know exactly what we are going to do with all our time, but it too will come and go quickly if we don't make the best of it.
Just to clarify, we had an awesome Christmas. I made it sound so blah!! But in all actuality it was awesome. We went to TN for a few days and spent some time with the Henry's (Sparkle and Granddad). They treated us to the Black Bear Christmas Jamboree in Gatlinburg. The kids loved it. Gunnar is still talking about the dancing.
Mimi came to visit Christmas day, bringing lots of goodies for little boys and girls. Time flew when she was here as well and we didn't do half the things we talked about doing. That is always the case. Sometimes it's much more fun to sit and play with the kids than go out and fight the crowds.
Santa was good to us all! I think everyone got everything they wanted plus a little more. I'm soooo excited about my Nike sports watch, that Gunnar designed for me. I think without a doubt that is my favorite gift. Thanks Gunns!! Ok well enough for now.. Until next time.
