Yesterday Todd finally came home after being gone since Tuesday.. We were all excited to have him back. Gates first request for Todd was to take his training wheels off his bike. I tried to persuade him NOT to do it, but Gates was very insistent. So Todd took them off and Gates jumped on his bike extremely excited. Once Gates realized this was no piece of cake he decided he wanted them back on. Todd put them back on but we all went inside to take a break. Gates fell asleep for a bit and Todd and I had a date planned. The baby sitter arrived at about 5:30 and Todd and I were off to a nice quiet dinner---ALONE. About half way through dinner I got a text from the baby sitter--oh no. Gates had a crash on his bike---one of his training wheels FELL OFF and he crashed into a tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her text said he was ok but a little banged up. I text her back to see if we needed to come home and she assured me that we didn't that she had had her mom check him out and he seemed to be ok. As you can imagine my mood quickly changed and I read Todd the right act. How in the world could you not put the training wheels back on correctly? UGH!!! This is why I NEVER ask him to do anything that could cause harm to anyone, especially my children.. How in the world did I not check those darn training wheels especially with Todd's track record!!! AHHHHHHH... As you can see from the pics my little man took quite a spill and has the boo boos to prove it.
