When I was a Boy?

Gates was playing with his nerf guns earlier, shooting the dogs, the walls, the doors and anything that got in his way. He stopped to take a break for a minute and put his guns on the counter, I was putting dishes away and was warned NOT to touch his guns! I assured him I wouldn't do such a thing. He wanted to know if when I was a little boy did I have guns like his? I said, "buddy I wasn't ever a boy" he didn't buy that answer for one moment. "Oh yes you were mom"! "No buddy I really wasn't". This went on and on for a while before he finally said "I was the grown up then mom and you were a little boy I saw you.." How do you dispute this? There was absolutely no way I could convince him otherwise so I just decided to go with it. Then I said "Gates when I was a little boy I did have guns like that" he looked at me really strange and said "mom you were never a BOY you have always been my mom and moms are girls!!!" UGH--so you just can't win no matter what you do.. I decided to end that conversation there, after all I was a girl again:)
